Enter a public study house such as National University of San Marcos (UNMSM), is the dream of many students in Peru. In this regard, deciding to change an educational institution after several years of study is difficult. This was the case of Anna, a young student who, after joining the Dean of America and studying biology for two years, decided to transfer internally to National Agrarian University of La Molina in Agronomy specialization.
In an interview with YouTube channel Emmel, the student revealed the reason why she decided to leave her career at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM). He also commented on how he told his parents that he had made that decision.

According to the excellent student, when she studied her fifth cycle of biology at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (UNMSM), classes had to be held virtually due to the pandemic. At that moment, she realized that pursuing this specialization without experience was not what she would like.
“Because the virtual classes were already there (in San Marcos), well, biology, for me, without (doing) hands-on and not being able to be in a lab was, I don’t know, weird. You just focused on reading books and memorizing information. That I didn’t really enjoy it (…) In the fifth cycle, I started going to courses where I felt like I was just memorizing information,” said the young student.

For this reason, he decided to transfer to the National Agrarian University of La Molina (UNALM) and study agronomy. For this he had to pass an entrance exam.
Although she managed to get accepted to said university, the young woman explained that the complicated part was talking to her parents about the decision she made to abandon her biology degree and start a new one from scratch.
“I travelled. So, to talk to the parents, that is, I told them in a video call. (…) My father is a biologist and we talked (about courses) because he wanted to help me and I told him: ‘I want to change careers’ (…). He started questioning me, I think (he was taking it normally). Then I told my mother that I wanted to talk to her and I told her (…). It was like an hour of conversation,” commented the young woman.
