Two humanoid robots are already working in Musk’s factories

Caracas.- Electric car maker Tesla has revealed that it has two of its Optimus humanoid robots working autonomously in one of its factories.

The company confirmed this in a message it shared on June 11 on the X social network, in which it listed the achievements made since 2018 under the “leadership of Elon Musk”. In this list, he detailed the presence of two robots.

“Two Optimus robots have been deployed to autonomously perform tasks at the factory,” said the report, which did not specify which plant they are in or what functions they perform.

Tesla has already announced the inclusion of autonomous robots that were in the training phase using virtual reality and remote control. However, by publishing it on social networks, he confirmed that he had taken a step forward in its development and had already added them to the production process.

For years, the company began developing autonomous, human-looking robots that operate with the same artificial intelligence as electric vehicles. Their goal is not only to replace human workers on production lines, but also to serve as domestic assistants, caregivers for the elderly, and even as a romantic partner.

In 2022, Musk himself expressed that Tesla’s humanoid robot program could become a priority for the company. Introduced last December, Optimus-Gen 2’s latest innovations include improved sensors and actuators that allow it to move 30% faster than its predecessor.
