A vacation in Mexico is just around the corner. What means a break for children can also be translated as a space for the implementation of educational or recreational activities. Yes, we are talking about summer courses.
In this sense, the Federal Institute of Telecommunications (IFT), through the Digital Skills Development Plan “The IFT Teaches You”, has launched a call for participation in courses in science, physics, electronics, mathematics, robotics and programming. As set out by the IFT, the objectives of these courses are:
1. To promote knowledge related to the basic use of the Internet and the benefits that its use provides in areas where people don’t know how to use it.
2. Support the development of digital skills and competences which respond to new needs caused by innovative ICT in various areas of everyday life.
What courses will be taught?
- 2D Adventure: In this course you will learn concepts of digital design and video game programmingthrough the Stencyl platform.
- Urban Craft: Children will gain knowledge that will enable them build a house with different mechanisms through the educational platform Minecraft.
- Design Blox: Learn how here create characters and objects for a 3D video game in the Roblox environment.
- My Smart Room: Participants will be able to simulate a smart room Through the electronic kit, where they can perform various connections, interface simulation and experiments on the programmable electronic card.
- Robotic Assistants: Those who sign up, they will build little robots and learn topics related to block programming and using sensors.
- App Lab: Girls and boys will learn different processes in creating applications for mobile devices.
Where:
Courses will be offered from both in person and virtually.
In face-to-face mode They will be carried out in the facilities of the alternate headquarters of the Federal Telecommunications Institutelocated at Avenida de las Telecomunicaciones S/N, Colonia Leyes de Reforma, Iztapalapa Mayor, Mexico City, in the Telephony Complex Federal Area.
For virtual mode, They will be taught through live classes using a video conferencing platform. Here, groups will be limited to a maximum of 12 participants to ensure individual attention and adequate follow-up. Registered participants will receive a kit with all the necessary materials to take home.

Girls, boys and teenagers from 6 to 16 years old.
