The ceremony was held on Tuesday afternoon at the non-formal education facility at Avenida giant, where the interim chairman of La Banda’s advisory board, Miguel Montenegro, was also present; council authorities, students, teachers and the general public.
The ceremony started with the raising of ceremonial flags, which then continued with the singing of the national anthem, cue words from Mayor Roger Nediani and the recitation of poetry by student Tadeo Jeremías Torres.
Furthermore, an institutional video about the school’s activities in the past year was shown and a group of students organized a Talent show where they presented a traffic light system made from technical materials provided by the municipality.
Eng Mayor Roger Nediani emphasized on this occasion: “We are celebrating two years of the institutional life of the Municipal School of Programming and Robotics. We feel very excited and happy that, despite the national context, which is very difficult, we continue to support further education in the city of La Banda.”
“We continue to support the knowledge economy, which is one of the most important industrial economies in the world. This year we had the opportunity to kick off the school year by providing a range of resources and aids to continue their training for the boys and girls who attend the Robotics School on a daily basis.”
He added: “We will continue on this path because we believe it is the one that will move us forward.”
“I thank the authorities of the educational area of the municipality of La Banda, teachers and families, because today the Municipal School of Programming and Robotics is also an inclusive institution, we have children with disabilities who have joined it for a year and have a very good control,” concluded Nediani.
At the end of this event, the most emotional moment of the meeting was experienced when Marcela Pérez and Rita Torres, tutors of two students with disabilities, highlighted the inclusion policy of the Municipal Robotics School, which allowed their children to enter an educational institution of any inconvenience and have significant progress in improving the quality of their lives .
