As part of the proposals for the winter holidays, the municipality of Rosario carried out video game, robotics and virtual reality exhibition in the Center DistrictWhere of various developments made by more than 1,100 children who went through workshops in 2024.
The initiative took place in the City Center of the central district, was free of charge and was aimed at children and youth. It should have virtual reality simulatorsexhibition virtual games created by students at the Video Game Workshop and a robot exhibition robotics workshop.
From January to June, during the first half of the year, 1100 children and young people participated in the innovation proposals offered by the municipality.
As part of the activity, the children and young people who took part in the Video Game Workshop were accompanied by their families and were able to show what they could do in the educational space: own video game.
It should be noted that during the course they will get the tools to create an online game from start to finish: characters, environments, dynamics, artwork, gameplay, music, programming and everything that belongs to an electronic game.
Video game catalog
Starting this Monday The catalog of video games is available on the website of the municipality created by students who have participated from the workshop’s inception to the present so that other children in the city can meet and play with them freely and for free. Video game creation and programming workshop
The video game workshop takes place in a virtual mode, it is a learning example for boys, girls and young people aged 10 to 16, which supports the development of the creative potential of each of them by providing them with tools for design, programming and music. Since its inception, more than 5,000 participants have registered for the workshop. It gained a lot of momentum during the containment due to the pandemic, where it quickly flipped from an in-person to a virtual format. In this context, a large number of boys, girls and young people were trained in the use of the digital tool not only in Rosario but also in different cities of the country that considered the proposal as a learning opportunity.

Robotics workshop
The workshop is face-to-face, lasts 2 months, consists of 8 meetings with a frequency of 1x per week. Each day, participating boys and girls have a specific challenge to solve, putting all their creativity and imagination into play while building a robot. Once the robot is built, the boys and girls program the movements and actions that the creations will perform to meet the class goal. It is aimed at children from 7 to 15 years old in groups and spaces according to age in six city districts: North-West, North, West, South-West, South and Central. Mobile phone use workshop for older adults
Digital stations also host digital tours for adults and older adults, such as a mobile phone workshop. These are meet-up spaces offered once a week where topics such as network security, basic smartphone functions, taking, editing and managing images, managing WhatsApp and Facebook and Instagram accounts are taught, among others. The workshop is in-person and registration is open year-round in six districts.
