With the participation of more than 300 young people from 26 schools, 15 public and 11 private, from the state of Zulia, the Ka’i Cup 2024 will take place this Saturday, June 29, at the Venezuela Events Palace.
Gabriel Ferrer, minister of higher education of the state of Zulia, emphasized in a radio interview that this event in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence is the most important interuniversity cup, as the result will be the representatives of the Venezuela team for the world cup in robotics Firs Global Challenge 2024. It will be held in Greece from September 26 to 29.
The official highlighted the efforts that Zulia Governor Manuel Rosales Guerrero has put into training talent in the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence program to continue and expand.
This is evidenced by the first place achievement of the Zulian team, which represented Venezuela at the World Robotics Championship held in Singapore last year, ahead of 196 countries, he noted.
“This is a new way of learning and this technology is designed to respond to the entire domain of knowledge. This training is supported by the government of Zulia through the Ingenio y Futuro program, an educational project that is promoted from the classrooms of our Zuliana advanced schools that Governor Rosales promoted since his first administration with computer classrooms,” explained Ferrer.
He also explained the transformation that gave way to new technologies and the learning process in robotics and artificial intelligence.
He recalled that Governor Rosales declared December 2, 2022 as the Regional Day of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence.
“Today in Zulia, we have an educational project that is being strengthened, that is being supported to give access to technology to students from the public and private sectors, from schools to universities,” Ferrer said.
