All this and much more, such as delicious tasting hamis part of the fifth edition program International robotics tournament “World Robot Olympiad” in Cáceres (WRO-Cáceres). It will be this Saturday at Polytechnic School (11:30-13:45), Where CereSTEAM Scientific Dissemination Day, with different activities, talks and workshops open to different age groups. From 11:30 the public will be able to watch the theater performance 27 teams participating in the WRO, 80 boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 16 who will compete in five categories. This is a tournament where kids have to design, build and program their robots. It promotes values ​​such as teamwork, friendly competition and contribution to society. This is the local stage organized for the fifth year by Coconet Mentes Creativas together with the Okola Club de Ciencia y Tecnología, Deduce y Crece, the Polytechnic School and its Smart Open Lab, with the support of FUNDECYT-PCTEX and in collaboration with CIIAE and Cáceres City Council.

But also during the day you will be able to learn about traffic and hydrogen vehicle with scientists from Pyrenean Center for Energy Storage Research (CIIAE), a cutting-edge space that studies different alternatives from Cáceres for the difficult challenge of storing renewable energy. It will also be possible to have fun in Gymkhana STEAM organized by the Deduce y Crece Association, as well as a visit to the @LEGO corner where you can build and play with Coconet Mentes Creativas robots.

Who wants to participate in an interesting mathematical activity, you can visit “Critical Pathways to Sustainability” by Julia González. This makes the audience realize how close people are to each other (11:30 in the auditorium). In addition, the program includes the possibility of discovery “Technology that accompanies football”with David Rey Cobos (12.30) and photo shoot with megaBOT, a robot measuring more than 3.5 meters built by Luis Bojo and the Smart Open Lab of the Polytechnic School of Cáceres.

Although access is free, the organization requires a signed image rights agreement, as the whole day will be recorded in photos and video that will be shared on social networks.
