Prototypes in water: students show off their marine robots in Taliarte

The headquarters of the Canary Ocean Platform (Plocan) in Taliarte hosted this Tuesday an exhibition of prototypes produced in the 12th. Maritime Robotics Educational Workshopin which ten secondary schools in the Canary Islands participated in its final phase.

80 students participate in the samplefrom ten secondary education centers, three from Fuerteventura: IES Gran Tarajal, IES Vigán, IES La Oliva; three from Gran Canaria: IES José Arencibia Gil, IES Noroeste, IES Poeta Tomás Morales Castellano; and four from Tenerife: IES El Tanque, IES Ichasagua, Guajara General Manager and IES Granadilla de Abona.

The prototype exhibition was attended by Plocan Director José Joaquín Hernández Brito and Minister of the Environment, Climate, Energy and Knowledge from the Cabildo of Gran Canaria Raúl García Brink.

The project is implemented in collaboration with the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, the STEAM area of ​​the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
