Navarra is advancing to become a benchmark in industrialization and robotics applied to construction and architecture

As announced last week by the Government of Navarre, the ex officio members of the Board of Trustees include the Minister of University, Innovation and Digital Transformation, Patricia Fanlo, who will be President of the Foundation; Third Vice-President and Adviser on Housing, Youth and Migration Policy Begoña Alfaro, who will assume the role of Vice-President; and Minister of Industry and Environmental and Corporate Digital Transformation Mikel Irujo.

In addition to these functions, the representatives of the various institutions present on the board were also appointed: the rectors Ramón Gonzalo (Public University of Navarre) and María Iraburu (University of Navarre), Joan Clos (Architecture and Society Foundation), Iñigo Eugui (Navarra Association Cluster for Industrialization construction – iCONS) and Miguel Iriberri (Navarra Industrial Foundation/Official College of Industrial Engineers of Navarre). NATIONAL CENTER FOR INDUSTRIALIZATION AND ROBOTIZATION

During the meeting General Secretary of Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture, Iñaqui Carnicero, wanted to emphasize the firm support and commitment of the Spanish government to create and implement a “national center for industrialization and robotics”, supported by the Ministry of Housing and the Urban Agenda and the Government of Navarre, to “take advantage of “With the extensive experience and specialization that already exists throughout the business area of ​​Navarra , this center will become a model that drives the transformation towards the industrialization of the construction sector across the country.” He declared that it will be a leading and reference space at the international level, which will count on the cooperation of national and foreign institutions that will provide “talent and specialized knowledge, thereby increasing the efficiency and quality of production processes”.

Similarly, Minister Fanlo wanted to emphasize the “close cooperation between the Government of Spain and the Government of Navarre” to support initiatives such as the aforementioned construction of the center. In the same vein, the Secretary General said that this project “will bring innovation to the construction sector, create and retain talent and move Navarre into the European area of ​​industrialization in construction”.

Vice President Alfaro, who also attended this Wednesday’s meeting, emphasized the regional leadership’s support for promotion in the construction sector, pointing to the importance of factors such as “reducing costs and deadlines, attracting new talent and incorporating women into a sector that has traditionally been very masculinized.”

OBJECTIVES OF THE CONSTRUCTION AND ARCHITECTURAL INSTITUTE FOUNDATION

Established as a non-profit and permanent entity, the Building & Architecture Institute Foundation, according to its statutes, has among its main objectives the creation of a national reference center, the development of knowledge in these fields, the education of experts and the transfer of technology. related to sustainability.

To achieve these goals, the foundation will develop activities aimed at achieving the goal of creating and launching a national reference center in Navarre, developing R&D projects in the construction industry, writing pilot projects for the direct application of applied research, as well as participating in national and international cooperation and providing specialized training, Besides.

Thanks to this initiative, which has the support of the sector, Navarra is positioning itself as a leader in promoting industrialization and robotics in the construction industry, moving towards more efficient and sustainable processes.

VISIT VIGUETAS NAVARRA

In addition, the day ended with several visits organized by the Navarre Construction Industrialization Cluster (iCONS), attended by the General Secretary of the Urban Agenda, Housing and Architecture of the Ministry of Housing, Iñaqui Carnicero; Advisor Fanlo; as well as representatives of the Navarre cluster.
