In an innovative effort to integrate technology into education, The Domingo Savio School in Santa Cruz has implemented an artificial intelligence robot called “Dominguito”. This little blue robot, designed to interact with students, has been playing a vital role since May of this year, according to Betty Carlo, the school’s principal.
‘Dominguito’ not only dialogues with children, but also helps them solve problems and communicate with classmates, teachers and parents. “The project started to be implemented in the month of May of this administration. “Dominguito” especially supports students who have special educational needs and who face some emotional situations,” Carlo emphasized.
This innovative robot communicates only in English, which also contributes to language learning among students. During a demonstration by the professor, the robot was asked for suggestions for a cold. “Dominguito”, his face radiating tenderness, responded with helpful advice, demonstrating his ability to provide support and guidance in various situations.
