From my window – Bohemia Magazín

My window became a view into space. Tuesday night’s partial lunar eclipse offered an impressive display in the sky, visible from across the state, including our capital.

From my small space, I could see the part affected by the umbra seeming to disappear… a phenomenon that is always beautiful, yet terrifying at the same time when one considers the vastness of the universe.

Remember that although it is common to see one full moon per month, lunar eclipses are special and do not occur with the same frequency. The inclination of the lunar orbit is the reason why each one is unique and varies in its visibility.

This September 17th was a break from the daily routine; an invitation to look up at the stars and lose yourself in what could be called “magic”.
